Mission
The purpose of the Nicaragua Children’s Foundation is to improve the lives of children and their families in the area of San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua and in its surrounding areas. We do this in two ways:
1. We contribute to the advancement of education in Nicaragua by providing materials, books, resources and physical improvements to existing schools.
2. We help develop rural communities through our microloan program and through contribution to special projects such as electricity and water.
What We're About
Our work is concentrated on improving the quality of life for the people in the small rural communities surrounding San Juan del Sur, Rivas. We have an extensive microloan program for women and are frequently involved with community development projects. These projects often involve sanitation or energy issues and sometimes include housing improvements. We have also built or renovated schools and preschools and have also established a community centre.
